Summer Self-Care

Summer is officially here! It can be tough to juggle work, summer activities, out-of-town travel, not to mention taking care of yourself!

Our bodies thrive on routine, and when our routines are thrown off, like when traveling or taking time off of work, it can negatively affect our sleep cycles, digestion, mental state, and more!

Here are couple of painless hacks you can practice to keep your summer health and wellness on track:

  • Do a couple of minutes of stretching while brushing your teeth in the morning and at night. Hey, you're already doing one healthy habit...you might as well add another!

  • Buy yourself a water bottle that "sparks joy" (thanks, Marie Kondo!). You'll be motivated to bring it with you wherever you go and stay hydrated and happy.

  • Set your alarm on your phone (or watch, clock, fitness tracker...) to go off at the same time every day of the week. Even if you don't get out of bed exactly when it goes off, your body will get a message to begin waking up consistently.

  • Resist the urge to late-night binge that last episode of your show. Go to bed! You'll thank yourself in the morning.
